In this article we will look at how to speak your way to success. Practice these techniques and see if they don’t make a huge difference in the way you think, feel and act.
We’ve all met them. The guy or gal who always seems to be surrounded by great people, places and things. They wake up in the morning and the world is there waiting to drop a bucket of blessings on them. What do these people know that we don’t? Were they born with a silver spoon in their mouth? No. The one thing they all possess is the ability to speak and not just saying words but speaking the right words.
Abraham Lincoln, Walt Whitman, Martin Luther King and dozens of others were known for being able to make you feel refreshed and invigorated just spending a session speaking with them. Their conversations were uplifting, never about themselves but about life, living and growing.
Here are some of the key qualities of someone who knows how to speak their way to success. We’ve decided to use the acronym G.A.P. to remind us of the qualities of success speak.
Gratitude- Success speak begins with acknowledging that we are grateful for all that we have. We recognize how fortunate we are to have the things we have, the breath of life in our lungs, family, friends, fortune. All of these things are a gift. Like a pair glasses, we look through our gratitude glasses at the world around us.
Affirming– our words should always be uplifting those around us. People who are fearful or insecure use speech that tears down others or others accomplishments. Sarcasm, barking, etc… that isn’t in our wheelhouse. We live in a world where the best in life is what we speak about.
Positive– There is so much to include in our daily speech. Pointing out the good, the lovely, the wonder of this world is a daily practice that produces positive results. There is so much green in the world. Look for the green, the living, the growing. Let others know about the best that the world and you have to offer.
The words you speak have the ability to bring life, not only to yourself but to those around you. When you speak words that are positive, affirming and filled with gratitude you plant seeds of success all around you. People are draw towards those that they feel good around.
